AN AMAZING ADVENTURE PART 2

Back in Katmandu, with temperatures at a more normal level, had a short rest and a little ministry before the next leg of our journey. My team and I were able to visit and minister in a local orphanage for boys where some got saved and most, mightily touched by the Holy Spirit. Later that day we went to visit the slum area and held a meeting there where again, there were some salvations and healings. Praise the Lord, due to sponsored events by my team, we were able to help the church there with school books and a wipeboard for teaching the children. Furthermore, I was able to do some personal ministry, firstly with the hotel staff, where I was able to lead two of them to the Lord and whilst shopping, I led one of the shop owners to the Lord, and later, was able to speak to her husband, who also gave his life to the Lord.

Next day, we commenced our arduous journey to Jiri. This is situated in the northern part of Nepal where the road runs out before Everest. The distance isn’t that great, but the roads are so appalling, it took us ten hours to get there. Many parts of the way were unsurfaced, large gravel, huge pot holes, fords and stream beds, extremely narrow, hairpin after hairpin bend, up one mountain and down another, very wearing on the vehicles not to mention their occupants! The result was one of the vehicles broke down with the clutch burned out and we had to unload everything into the other vehicle whilst the first one attempted to complete the journey. Amazingly, after prayer, this was achieved.

The Ministry in Jiri did not achieve very many salvations but it broke the ground – a place where they had never had a large evangelistic open air meeting before – and again with much opposition. After hearing the message of love and truth the opposition subsided and the seed was sown. Only about 30 people had got saved initially, although more hands had gone up , and later we heard that there was more fruit than this but the people were shy to come forward. Also God performed many miracles in the crowd again ,including one young man who looked thin and gaunt, sick for a long time, God touched him in the crowd by his mighty power and he testified of his healing later and was the first to come forward to give his heart to Jesus! What an awesome God we serve! RK Day

Nepalgunj , my team (Geof, Carl and Sue) and I found out, is the hottest place in Nepal and Easter is not the coolest time of year. Even night time temperatures are 33 degrees and the day in the sun around 40. Therefore ministry was difficult, however the presence of God was powerful and we saw the most amazing events.

John Fergusson had arranged these meetings in the south and I was invited to speak at two of the three main Easter Festival gatherings with crowds of 5,000 people plus, patiently waiting in the heat for the festival to start. The first day was most interesting, having been on my feet to preach for only a few minutes, I can’t remember exactly what I said which instigated the following event, when suddenly people all over the field started to fall down in the presence of God and demons were manifesting, with the local churches busily carrying people out to deliver them; I carried on regardless, preaching the gospel! I then held a mass healing prayer for the whole congregation, after which I asked people to stand and see if something had happened? Many people started to come forward to testify, some believers, some unbelievers. God was doing wonderful miracles in the midst of the people through His Son Jesus Christ. We ran out of time as there were so many testimonies!

Nepalgunj Easter Festival

After the healing testimonies , I then asked people to come to Christ. However, in the middle of this, someone came up and interrupted us with an announcement that the last bus was leaving to a certain area. This then caused a mass exodus and not little disruption! However, praise the Lord a number of people still got saved on the first night and the spiritual ground was being prepared and many more healings and deliverances took place as the whole TEAM prayed for people who also came forward for prayer.

On the second night when John preached, more were saved and miracles also followed the preaching of the Word, including a family which had always been against the church, and although refused to come to the Festival, due to the extremely effective PA System, were able to hear the whole message from their balcony and each family member was healed of a condition. Having found they were healed, came late to the meeting and told the pastors what had happened and also said they would from now on come to church.

The final night, it was my turn to preach again and God moved even more powerfully. They were more attentive to the Word and there were no disruptions (that we knew of) and I had a witness in my spirit that many blind eyes would be opened. At the mass prayer time God was performing miracles all over the field. One woman, who couldn’t walk, was able to walk and another, who was completely blind and nearly completely deaf was able to see and hear. Again, so many miracles we couldn’t fit all the testimonies in the time we had. I could see the excitement in the crowd – God had their attention – and when the altar call was given, hundreds came forward and gave their lives to Christ, praise be to the Lord!

Friday and Saturday Esther and I held a Women’s Conference at Victory Church, Tagbilaren, co-ordinated by the local Women Aglow Chapter, led by Sister Lyn Thomas. We challenged the women to step out in faith in God and to go out with the Gospel, empowered by the Holy Spirit. In practical demonstration of this, in my session (Roz) I challenged all those people that were sick to come forward and the rest of the delegates to also come forward and pray for those who were sick. This had a wonderful effect, many of them got healed through the name of Jesus Christ; including one woman who was prayed for by one of the other delegates, who had a cyst on her back, which just fell off after prayer. This enabled them to see that God does not only use the evangelists and pastors, but can use anyone who truly believes, filled with his Spirit, and trusting in His Word,

approximately 100 women attended each meeting.

It wasn’t ALL work. We did have a couple of relaxing times. Monday afternoon, we went with a local pastor and his family to a white sand beach and another occasion a woman who I had known previously and had given to me sacrificially, blessed us with use of one of her vans for the day so we could be tourists and see the local sights including the smallest monkey in the world and the famous ‘Chocolate Hills of Bohol’. However, back to work – I preached twice on Sunday with an amazing meeting at the AOG church in the morning where the fire fell and many hearts were touched by Revival.

On the Tuesday and Wednesday we were asked to do house to house by the local pastor. I knew this was going to be hard work, especially in the heat, but it does negate the price of paying for crusades.Once more it was very fruitful, going around talking to the locals about Jesus and praying for the sick. Diana and I saw around 36 decisions who mostly all received John Gospels and were invited to attend the local Bible Study. Esther and Janie had similar results, Praise the Lord.

The following day we had been invited to speak to the gypsies, the girls having a day off – Esther and I went alone to face the unknown. After negotiating a perilous cliff path through filth and squalor we were then told we had to ‘walk the plank’. Only not just one plank – about ten of them which were about 12 ft above the sea which contained what only can be described as ‘more filth and squalor’ below and one did not want to fall into it. The planks started wide enough but each one got narrower and it was all I could do to put one foot in front of the other. Apart from the fact that I couldnt swim it was also concerning as to what I might have to swallow! I didnt realise that my colleague was in worse straits and had to pray fervently the whole way. Finally arriving at a sweet little church on stilts Esther shared the word and about thirty children responded.

Having completed our mission there was no way we were going to return the way we came so I managed to procure a small fishing boat even though we had to make a twelve foot jump to get into it! It was the best £1.30 for gasoline I have ever spent – a much better way to travel!

That evening I preached at another poor area. A church without walls but where the presence of God was – although a rat did run in front and somewhat put me off my preaching! 50 – 60 people responded to the Gospel and some remarkable healings took place, including one young woman who had been born with one eye completely blind, after prayer could see from that eye for the first time.

Many more things happened, but sufficient to say that God continued to save, heal, restore and revive by his mighty power and I prasie the Lord for another 850 decisions for Christ on this mission (1250 whole team), which now makes a total of over 5,000 decisions since I first started preaching abroad in November 2005, thats besides hundreds of healings ,miracles and people mightily touched my God’s power aound the world, all the praise and glory to Jesus Christ God’s only Son who came to this earth to die a cruel death on a cross and arose from the grave victorious so we might be SAVED!!!!

PHILLIPPINES MISSION – 2010

After arriving in Cebu we had a much needed overnight rest & leaving Janey with Ester, Diana and I flew to Negros. I had been to the southern part of this island before but not to this area. Bacalod is on the north eastern coast. After landing we traveled for about an hour into the rural area. That night, after staying in a basic hotel commenced my much awaited ministry in that area.

For several years I had heard about the large army camp near here and had gone to great lengths to make arrangements to preach there. However, upon arriving at the base I was rather despondent, being confronted with only twelve men to preach to when I was expecting more than a thousand. Nevertheless, praise the Lord, ten of them responded to the Gospel, including our driver! I was determined to see more souls saved though – somewhere. It was this point of desperation that I remembered the words of my pastor before leaving for this mission, in which he gave a prophetic word saying that I would have a big disappointment, but not to worry for God has something else. I said to the pastors with me “I’m an evangelist – use me! There must be something else I can do.” “What about an open-air nearby – can we hire a local plaza, get a church to come with a band” Hastily arrangements were made and we had a local crusade for one evening and Praise God for twenty five young people coming to the Lord that night.

In the meanwhile, however, the local pastor said he could get me in the school nearby. I said that was a great idea and that afternoon we entered the local elementary school with over 600 pupils.

My colleague Diana did a puppet presentation and I followed it with preaching the Gospel, which over 400 children responded to the message. I did a mass prayer for all those that were sick and many raised their hands and testified that God had touched them.

After visiting a children church in Bacolod City, comprising of street kids, we held junior church for the morning, at which six were saved and several touched by the Holy Spirit. Back in Cebu and meeting up with the rest of the team, we both preached in churches on the Sunday morning, visited a local hospital in the afternoon and Monday morning visited two prisons. My colleague, evangelist Esther Anderson, preaching at the womens prison and me at the youth offenders, where more than 15 gave their hearts to the Lord.

On the Tuesday we were suddenly summoned by our host pastor to visit a school up in the mountains – a place I had been to on my last visit and saw good fruit. Unfortunately, we had to preach class room by classroom, in one afternoon. At this point I was very glad to have another evangelist working with me. We shared 11 classrooms between us and about 350 children responded to the message. What a wonderful farewell to Cebu as we sailed away the following day to the island of Bohol.

After relaxing the rest of the day we visited another prison the following morning. I had been in this prison two years ago and was amazed at the transformation! Previously a dirty courtyard and all over run down impression, was replaced by flower beds, cleanliness and an atmosphere of hope. The prisoners put on a special show for us and afterwards we had the opportunity to preach the Gospel whereupon 88 prisoners gave their hearts to the Lord and many testified of being healed. On the Friday of the following week I returned to this prison. We were happy to give out 88 bibles to the new converts and took other provisions for the whole prison, which they readily received. I

did a mass healing prayer and over 18 prisoners came forward to testify that God had healed them where they stood. What a wonderful God we serve.( Don’t miss part two to following, including the story of two intrepid evangelists have to walk the plank for Jesus

What a wonderful God we serve.( Don’t miss part two to following, including the story of two intrepid evangelists have to walk the plank for Jesus !

The harvest of souls was equally fruitful in the two local prisons we visited , where many responded to the gospel, and prisoners were set free in the spirit by the power of the blood of Jesus Christ, ‘Who cleanses us from all sin’. In one of these prisons I met a lady who reminded me that I prayed for her two years ago in the same prison. She testified that that day when she had been slain in the Spirit, she got up totally healed from a spinal condition affecting two lower vertebrae, and has not needed any treatment in the last two years. When God does it, praise His name, He does it well!

Furthermore I had to preach at the local police station whereupon several policemen and women responded to the message and gave their hearts to the Lord, praise God.

In Pastor Ruben’s church in Villiasis a woman came to me and told me I had prayed for her two years ago. The doctors had recently told her that they had found a myoma in her womb, verified by the local hospital. However, after prayer, she believed she was healed, and with a friend, went back to the doctors and had another scan which confirmed that the myoma had disappeared. She has experienced no further problems, praise the Lord.

As well as amazing salvations and healings, God also moved mightily by his Spirit upon the churches. The Holy Spirit led me to challenge the people to a closer walk with Him. Of those that responded, he replied with his Holy Fire as scores of people were renewed and revived.

The Mission came to an end at Angelas City, we held two days of miracle services hosted by ‘Freedom Christian Center’with Pastor Joshua and his wife, sister Judy. I love visiting this church and this was my third time. Each time God has graciously poured out His Spirit and this visit was no exception. On the Sunday over 450 people had gathered at Clark Air Base Officers Mess where 28 people gave their hearts to the Lord and a number of testimonies of healings took place of which I received confirmed testimonies later by e mail . On the second night the Holy Spirit fell mightily on the people that came forward for renewal.

It’s harvest time folks – not just for the Phillippines – but I believe its end-time harvest time for the world! It’s time to preach the Gospel more, if we are to get the harvest in – as Jesus said in Matthew’s Gospel “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the labourers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out labourers into his harvest” Math 9, v37,38 NKJV
