Harvest Time in the Philippines

injured-leg-pics-09-003.jpg

With only a tiny budget for crusades, which we held in the back streets of small ‘Buranguys’( villages ) nine in all . With little in the way of equipment,  no stage and having to beg and borrow a lectern for every meeting on which to hold the Bible and notes – yet the people came and responded to the call of the Gospel!

Our mission started on the island of Mindora, which is situated SE of the mainland, with a two hour catamaran crossing from the port of Bantangas. The sea was very rough and dangerous but the Lord was with us. We held four nightly crusades and two prison meetings. As well as many salvations there were also some notable healings. On the first crusade a man on crutches with an injured leg was instantly healed after prayer and able to walk home, carrying his crutches, rejoicing. Second night, there were also a number of healings including a man with a neck frozen with his chin permanately touching his chest. After prayer the neck was released and he could bend his head right back. In the third village I was told later by the local pastor that the most violent man in Burangay, had been saved and if that was a true conversion, his testimony would impact the whole area. The following night he came with his wife and asked me to pray for him. There were many more testimonies for Mindora – details will be attached in next update.

Nepal Mission Nov 08( Update 2)

Nepal Mission Part two

After travelling for five hrs back up to Kathmandu, up being the operative word – as it took 5hrs of dangerous, precarious, hairpin bends and sheer drops along a white water river; arriving by evening into the Kathmandu smog. We fell into our beds only to be kept awake by yapping dogs which seems to be a major problem in Kathmandu as there are many thousands of them. The name ,‘Dogmandu’ comes readily to our minds!

The following day we began a two-day miracle conference in which God moved in a mighty way despite the fact that we had to travel through badly air polluted traffic and the church in which we ministered was affected hugely by diesel fumes. However, God moved in his mighty power in healing and Holy Spirit outpouring. There were over 20 healings for which people testified including backs and neck pains, knee joints, and a woman with a heart condition who testified that God had healed her, the next day. A twelve year old boy had been hit by a car in the morning and was in great pain, was healed after the general prayer and demonstrated the fact by raising his arm without any pain at all. The same boy was mightily touched by the Holy Spirit later.

Someone who was still in pain from a knee operation, after prayer testified that he had been healed and was able to walk without pain. A young man in his 20s, nearly blind, who could only see things right in front of his face, testified he could see things much better and by the second day, could count my fingers from across the church – Praise the Lord Many people were hit by the fire of God and at one point three quarters of the church were slain in the Spirit, on the floor, some laughing, some crying before the Lord and some speaking in tongues for the first time. I don’t think this Baptist church had seen anything like this before but the pastors there were thrilled to see God moving and many were asking for the fire as well.

Nearly blind sees

After the final meeting some people came forward to be saved without there being an altar call after seeing the power of God moving by his Holy Spirit, which is of course, the greatest miracle of all. One woman, at the end of the service, after this out pouring, appeared to be unconscious. One of my team became extremely concerned, fearing a diabetic coma or suchlike. I questioned the people with her and she had never suffered with anything like this before. Attempting to get a response from her, all she could say was “I just feel this joy!” I said she’s fine, leave her there, it’s just the Holy Spirit. The next day she testified of what had happened to her, and that she had been out for a further one and a half hours in the presence of the Lord.

The women’s conference was also most fruitful where many ladies (mostly from a Baptist background) received the power of the Holy Spirit for the first time. In the afternoon session they were shown how to witness about Jesus and pray for the sick and they were encouraged to demonstrate what they learnt on one another with many testifying of being healed.

The slum area that we visited was situated by a filthy river with rubbish of all kinds floating on the top. Their homes comprised nothing more than sticks and plastic, and earthen floor. Their meeting house had recently benefitted from a tin roof which was most needful after the recent storm in which a hailstone had fallen through the then plastic roof, causing a child to be rendered unconscious. A number of children and adults had congregated for the meeting but with the PA constantly breaking down I had to revert to my natural voice, which was difficult. However, even in these grim surroundings, the beauty of Jesus could be seen, with many testifying of being healed by his power and a number coming forward for Christ. Furthermore, one of the ladies I prayed for, was shaking. This I assumed to be the presence of the Lord upon her but someone asked me to pray for

her again, as while she was in this state, she could feel something coming up in her body, getting stuck in her throat, so I prayed again and God delivered her – praise His name, later I had e mail confirmation of complete deliverance and healing, for which she is praising God!

With the help of Janie and Anna and R K Day ministry sponsors I am thankful to be able to say that we were able to buy 90 new jumpers for the children who belonged to the school.

The final crusade was held at Baktapur, just a small open air at the back of the church. Again a number of healings were testified and 15 people came to the Lord and several were delivered from demons, for which we praise God.

Well thats all folks for now as 6th January I’m on my travels again, only this time back to my much loved Philippines, can’t wait to see what God has in store for us there?

God bless RK Day

Kawasoti Crusade

After a short stopover in Kathmandu  my team (Janey & Anna) and I made the long
journey south to the Chitwun area.Kawasoti ,a city situated near the Indian
border is where we held a crusade earlier in the year on my last visit.   We were hoping for larger numbers to come
and, although, there were only 2-3thousand the first night, about 5,000
attended the second night, resulting in approximately 200

decisions for Christ.

There  were also a large number of healings amongst the
crowd.   When I commanded demons,
sickness and disease to go in His name, many reached out in faith to Him and
came forward to testify.  This included many
backaches, headaches, joint pains.   Many
with hearing difficulties and eyesight problems were healed including one woman
who was completely deaf in the right ear and nearly deaf in the left ear, who
was able to hear perfectly again.    She
had suffered this condition for fifteen years.
Another was a man who had been involved in an accident and  fractured his leg.   Even
after surgery, he  was still in great
pain for years but testified that the pain had left him and he could walk
normally.   Another old woman was able to
walk normally again and threw away her walking stick and testified the next day
that she was still healed.   Furthermore
a young man who was dumb and unable to speak at all was now able to talk for
the first time, although imperfectly as he now needed to learn to talk.

Furthermore quite a few  people were delivered from demonic voices.   Several came to the platform to testify to
being delivered.   One woman who had
suffered for a long time, testified that all the voices had gone bar one, which,
after prayer, the Lord dealt with  the final
one too which also left,   praise His
name.

I and the team together with Pastor Samuel and Pastor Puran (my
excellent interpreter),  spent another
two days in the Chitwan region.   The
next day we held a pastor’s conference in a local Baptist church in which the
fire of God descended on the delegates, so much so they were texting others to
come and join them in the afternoon.
Praise the Lord.

The final day
in this area we spent in travelling around local village churches, off road in
the jungle area.   We felt like real
missionaries now but we did do it the easy way and used a 4 x 4 to get there,
crossing river beds and dodgy bridges, to reach the people.   The first little church reminded me of the
nativity scene as it looked a bit like a stable with a straw roof, where we met
some of the new converts from the crusade and I was able to give them advice in
their new Christian life.

We visited another two churches that day and I preached
three times and by the third service I was getting tired.  It was late in the afternoon and the sun was
beginning to set, and yet when we arrived we found the little church bursting
at the seams with eagerly awaiting people.
I forgot my tiredness and the Holy Spirit took over and the power of God
touched those people in healing and revival fire and 27 people got saved,
Praise the Lord.

Mission to Nepal

Arriving in Kathmandu after what can only be described as an ‘ hair raising ,uncomfortable, long winded, budget airline flight’, Ros ( my volunteer companion), and I had one night in which to rest, before setting off for the plain the next morning.

Kathmandu is described as a ‘valley’, from which it takes nearly fours hours continuous descent by a vehicle, to reach the Indian plains, following a fast moving river, with a number of adventurous folk having fun water rafting.

My first preaching engagement was held at a local Baptist church, in a poor rural area about half an hours drive away, from our hotel at Bharatupur, Chitwan. The road there was nothing more than a dirt track through villages of poor houses, which only supplied it’s occupants the bare necessity of accommodation, sights I have grown accustomed to in my ministry as an evangelist, which takes me to many poor areas of the world, but nevertheless still moves me in compassion for these dear folk who have so little, when we have so much in comparison!

Having arrived at the church and being assured that only believers would being attending the service, I decided on concentrating my message on the revival and healing power of the Holy Spirit, through the Name of Jesus Christ! After the message I invited the sick in the congregation to place their hands on the place of their sickness or on their heads, as I commanded sickness, pain, disease, evil spirits to leave in the Christ’s name! The Lord also gave me a ‘word of knowledge’ (one of the gifts of the Spirit spoken of by Paul in 1Cor. 12), that someone was being healed of a mouth condition . I then asked those who God had touched to come forward and testify, about a dozen came forward, including a Hindu lady, who wasn’t a Christian, testified that she had suffered with constant bleeding in her mouth, but when I gave the word of knowledge, it stopped instantly! Later that day she came to the crusade and gave her heart to Jesus and testified of her healing, praise the Lord !

The crusade that afternoon was held nearby at Kowasiti, where an estimated number of two to three thousand gathered to hear the gospel. Many more would have come had it not been election time and problems with road blocks, However, those that attended heard the good news of Jesus (most of them for the very first time), I gave the altar call and about twenty to thirty people responded. Then I prayed for the sick, where they were in the crowd (the same way I did in the church that morning). People started getting healed all over the place, we couldn’t fit in all the testimonies, over forty people were waiting to testify. Then I and my interpreter (Pastor Samuel), did another altar call, after seeing the miracles, many more responded to the call of salvation, over two hundred in total came to the Lord that afternoon. The pastors on the platform were amazed at what God had done, most of them had never seen miracles before. I was the first western evangelist they had preach in their area and they want me to return and by God’s grace and provision I intend to do just that, hopefully this autumn if I can raise the funds?

Miracles in the Philippines

February 12th, 2008

In this blog I want to report on a selected few of the testimonies of healing and deliverence on this last trip to the Philippines in November 07.

On the first Sunday in Bohol I was scheduled to preach three times (a common occurance when ministering abroad). The first church I preached at was near Loay on the island, and what a blessing we had, the Holy Spirit fell on people in abundance. However, after the service had finished and I was waiting for lunch, a young man sat bent over looking extremely troubled. I noticed he had broken handcuffs on his wrist, I asked the pastor if he wanted prayer? The pastor then went on to tell his story, apparently when the young man was younger (he is now about 17yrs old), he was badly demonised and his father came to the pastor for help and gave his heart to the Lord and the boy was delivered. Unfortunately the father backslid from God and the boy became demonised again. The pastor told me that it takes 5 strong men to arrest him he is so strong (hence the broken handcuffs), but he said he wants to be delivered and has come so that you can pray for him. I’m thinking it takes 5 men to hold him and I’m about to pray for him! However, the compassion of the LOrd took a hold of me and all I could feel was love and compassion for this young man, as I prayed for him the power of God came upon him and he started to cry, the pastor said he has never done this before God is really dealing with him. Some weeks later I heard from the pastor to say since he was prayed for God completely delivered him and he has been fine since, all I can say is PRAISE THE LORD, JESUS YOU ARE WONDERFUL!

I also heard that the woman who was healed of diabetes in the February is still fine, another came up to me at the crusade outside of Tagbilaren city, to say she was healed of a shoulder problem also in February and is still fine. Another lady said that she had been prayed for her eyesight problem in February and is also so completely healed she no longer needs glasses, praise the Lord. Another confirmation from February was of an old man I prayed for in the slum area of Cebu city, he was suffering with cancer, laid on a bed unable to walk unaided, with pain all over his body. First I led him to the Lord and then I prayed for him in the Name of Jesus Christ, and the pain completely left him and he got off the bed and walked unaided. I have since fould out that he is still healed and fine, it’s wonderful what God can do and the Jesus of Nazereth that ‘went about doing good and healing all those oppressed of the devil’, IS ALIVE TODAY AND STILL DOING MIRACLES!

Sorry folks I don’t have anymore time to write more testimonies at present, as I have to fly to Nepal tomorrow to go on mission again for two weeks, please pray for me and my companion (another Ros), that the Lord will be with us as we go forward with the glourious news of the gospel.

If you live anywhere near Salisbury, I will be back in time for the next Healing Service at the Community Centre, West Street, Wilton when I shall be reporting on this mission as well as preaching the gospel and praying for the sick, a warm welcome awaits you, God bless Roz Kathryn Day

Further ‘Mission’ to the Philippines

January 25th, 2008

Praise the Lord for my third mission to the Philippines this autumn. Although not everything went quite to plan, the weather was a major problem, with much heavy rain which hampered arranged open air meetings, resulting in some cancellations. However, I wasn’t going to allow the weather to stop me preaching the gospel, and got the pastor’s to find places I could preach under cover. One such place was found in a village on the island of Negros, a lot of young people came to the meeting (mostly because they couldn’t play basketball because of the torrential rain). Praise the Lord over 60 people came to the LOrd on the first night and a further 27 the second night, mostly young people. We were able to get their names and addresses so that a weekly bible study could be set up for them and my ministry bought them all new testaments so hopefully a new church will be planted there.

One lady was a backslider who used to be a Christian worker, who having heard about the crusade decided not to come, but she testified later saying that the Holy Spirit so moved on her she had to come and praise the LOrd she returned to the LOrd and God also healed her body too! Any backsliders reading this, the day is short it’s time to return to the Lord while you are still able too, Jesus is returning soon and you need to be ready to meet Him, but He awaits with outstretched arms for you, just turn to Him in repentance.

I also preached in some of the prisons in Cebu, the women’s prison was an amazing experience, having been there in February it was great to see how they had progressed in the Lord and off course there were new in mates as well. All they had for worship was an old tatty acoustic guitar, but when those women started to sing and worship God it was wonderfuly truly from the heart worship, all I could do was weep! Praise the Lord 15 new comers came to the Lord.

The young offenders prison was even more amazing, for the first time in my ministry I saw 100% of the congregation get saved, all 60 prisoners came to the Lord, the pastors with me said they had never seen such a move of God on the prisoners, many with tears in their eyes as I explain the good news of the gospel, that ‘..the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin.’ ‘ ..that who the Son sets free is free indeed.’

Then ptr. Nilo got me in a local state school, I was only able to preach in two classes, but praise God in the first class the whole class got saved and in the second they all got saved except for three. He took me to another school up in the mountains I started class by class, but said we need to crowd them into one class again(I had difficulty keeping my voice going) all 60 plus wanted to be ‘born again’ and come to Christ, ( needless to say I had even more new testaments to buy). I praise God that a total of just over 400 people came to the Lord in my three week mission, I also praise the LOrd for many healings and miracles which I will tell of in my next post ,if you are able to attend my next HEALING SERVICE here in the UK, which will be at The Community Hall, West Street, Wilton, Salisbury 3rd Feb a warm welcome awaits you.

Healing Service at Wilton, Salisbury update

October 9th, 2007

Praise the Lord, God is blessing the Healing Service at Wilton. Numbers are gradually increasing and there have been 8 decisions for Christ that we know of and a number of people have testified of either total healings or pain instantly leaving, for which I give Jesus Christ all the praise and the glory!

The next meeting will be held at the Community Centre, Wilton, SALISBURY, Wilts on Sunday November 4th at 6.30, all welcome admission free. This will be held just 2 days before my next mission to the Philippines for more crusades, the adventure continues and I can’t wait to see what God will do next, will blog again as soon as I can, God bless you all sister Roz Kathryn.

CHRISTIAN HEALING SERVICE, WILTON,SALISBURY

July 7th, 2007

Dear Prayer partners and friends, after returning from my latest mission trip to the Philippines, the LOrd has led me to start a local ‘HEALING SERVICE’, here in the UK not far where I live.

The idea came to me last year, but I was slow in realizing the idea into action. However, this year the impression to do this grown and so I have stepped out in the FAITH, for what God does in the Philippines He can do here in the UK.I praise God for the helpers He has given me, some from my own fellowship and others from felowships in Salisbury.

We held our second meeting last Sunday night and praise God there were 2 testimonies of healings from the first service, including a lady who had been healed in her knees and she didn’t even ask for prayer for them, she had suffered for ten years and God healed her in a moment of time, ‘For with God all things are possible’.

Although only a small beginning,( as praise God I’m use to seeing dozens healed at a time abroad), but God is moving and I believe this is going to grow and we will see many miracles and many come to the Lord.

If you are in the area, why not come to the next meeting? It’s held the first Sunday of the month, the next one being 5th August, and is held at the Community Centre, West Street, Wilton (Opposite Wilton Church) at 6:30pm All Welcome, Admission Free
God Bless Roz Kathryn Day

Blessings in Bohol

May 18th, 2007

Dear Friends and Prayer Partners,

After my cliff path experience and minstering in a house group amongst the fishing community in the afternoon, that evening I was taken to another part of Tagiblaren City, to a pioneer church. We had to travel quite some distance on a dirt track in order to reach the church.
The church was only partly built and still had only a gravel stone floor, no electricity, which meant preaching again without a microphone and reading my notes and scriptures by torchlight. However, dispite the conditions, God was there and He poured out HIs Spirit for people were mightily touched by the Spirit and several testified of being healed ! Including a man with a painful eye who was able to return to work and a woman who said she was healed of urinary infection and diabetes, I told not to stop medication for the diabetes until she had been to the doctor and had her healing confirmed. This I learned later she had done and after the blood test, the doctor confirmed she had diabetes no more. Praise the Lord!

10th, 11, 13th February
The following Saturday we held a small open air at a Burangay near Valencia and Sunday I preached in Pastor Fernando’s church where again God poured out HIs blessing and some testified to being healed instantly.

Tuesday was prison day, we had a large local prison to visit in the morning and a provincial prison to visit in the afternoon.
The enemy tried to stop the morning prison service, because the were holding a basket ball tournament, however I was able to go around a speak and pray for some of the prisoners. Conditions there were pretty grim with overcrowding and hardly the very basics provided . Praise God I managed to lead 7 prisoners to the Lord and several said that God had touched their bodies and were releived of pain.
The afternoon prison didn’t have any pens and paper to write with and not even any soap and toothepaste, so due to my few faithful sponsors I was able to buy them some of these items.
Although there were not many salvations here, God poured out His Spirit on the believer’s and two prisoners got filled as well as slain in the Spirit, speaking in tongues for the first time! The woman who got filled not only spoke in tongues but sang in tongues at the top of her voice and all the guards and other prisoner’s wondered what was going on?

‘This is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel: And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh…’ Acts 2 16 & 17

One prisoner said ‘ I had to come to prison in order to find freedom’ Jesus has come to set the CAPTIVES FREE !
Thankyou all for praying for me, God bless from Sister Roz Kathryn Day

Cliff path-slum areas- healings and prisoners rejoice!

May 15th, 2007

Greetings prayer partners and friends,

After leaving Pangansinan I stopped for two days at Angelas City, where they gave me a wonderful welcome and even paid for a nice hotel room. They tried to give me an offering as well, but I didn’t feel it right to take it as they had already given so much. THe LOrd abundantly blessed the meetings there again, with many slain in the Spirit including little children, many healings also reported and confirmation of healings last year praise the LOrd.

After my short stay in Angelas I flew to Cebu from Clark airport very close by.
I have found out that Cebu has two temperatures hot and very hot and always noisey. I had to minister in the very bad slum area. THey asked me to go to a house and pray for a Catholic family, with the grand father dying of cancer.

Walking there was very difficult in the dark, with a deep open sewer alongside the path, I was so glad for my little torch !
When I arrived I first shared the gospel and most of the family accepted Christ and prayed the sinner’s prayer. I then prayed for the old man who was full of pain and lying on his bed, after prayer he said the pain had all gone and got off his bed and walked un aided, which he could not do before, praise God ! I don’t know whether he is totally healed, time will tell, but he was very glad to be free from pain Praise the LOrd.

I also preached in two prisons in Cebu and saw many won to the LOrd. IN the women’s prison, those that were gathering were mostly already saved, but some received instant healing and God poured out His Spirit on those women, with many being slain in the Spirit, speaking in tongues and crying with Joy, it was a joy to see and be part of, :”God is no respector of person’s” “Whom the Son sets free is free indeed” “THe blood of Jesus CHrist cleanses us from all sin”

I praise God that He continued to pour out HIs blessings in the churches in Cebu as well with a number of healings being reported including: back pain, shoulder pain, chest problems, asthma and sinus problems. The LOrd also mightily poured out His Spirit on those that presented themselves as vessels.

After taking the ferry from Cebu, I arrived here in Bohol last Wednesday and am staying with my host Pastor Fernando Impang and his family. So far God is continuing to pour out HIs blessing. The first day I arrived they dropped me of with a pastor’s wife in a very bad slum area, to get to the meeting I had to climb down a very difficult cliff path between the slum houses. I was praying LOrd please keep from disease. When I arrived at a poor slum house on stilts above polluted sea water underneath, a small group of women had gathered for a bible study. God blessed those women, some got slain in the Spirit and a missionary was there who had a very painful arm , who was finding life very difficult, as it was so bad that she could not drive her car. God INSTANTLY healed her, and she was rejoicing. She rang the pastor later that day to confirm what had happened! Praise the LOrd, our God is a God of miracles and ‘What is impossible with man is possible with God for with God ALL things are possible.”

My mission will soon be over and I am weary now and ready to come home, but please pray for more souls before I leave, at the moment decisions total just over 750, but I am praying for at least 1000 before I leave. We have some more open airs planned and I am visiting two more prison’s tommorrow, so believing for more fruit. We are not going to the withcraft island now, not because I am afraid, but the practicalities are not good and I’m not up to roughing it anymore on this trip. However, the church is growing there and the Christians are on the victory side.

God bless you all my friends, thankyou so much for you prayers and support, without which this mission would not be possible, please keep me on your prayers.
Yours in Christ Roz
